Puberty For Guys

Usually in guys, puberty begins from the age of 11 and lasts until they reach 19 years of age. During this period, the body goes through whole lot of changes. These changes are fairly normal and there is nothing for a guy to get worried about.

Puberty in boys is marked with growth in the size of the penis and testicles. These are the first changes that a boy will notice when puberty sets in. Also, once the testicles develop to their full size, hormones are released by the testes, which trigger changes in various other parts of the body. Also, these hormones are the once that cause the mood swings.

Also, after the penis and testicles grow in size, a boy will start notice the growth of spare hair in the armpits and genital region. Also, the hair covering the arms and legs will become darker and rougher. Some boys may end having hair growth on the chest, abdomen and also back. Facial hair growth takes place at a later stage in puberty. However, due to different rates of hair growth, some boys may have thick growth of facial hair, whiles other may not.

A guy will also start notice changes in the muscle mass. The body of a guy gets stronger during puberty and will also show rapid growth in height. Development of muscle mass usually occurs in the later stages. Another change that the guy will notice that he begins to have nocturnal emissions. These are nothing but ejaculation of sperm while you are asleep. This is quite normal and there is nothing to get worried about.

Besides all these changes, you will also notice a change in your voice. The voice will get deeper, but before that happens you may alternate between a deep voice, cracks and squeaks. It is nothing to worry about. The cracks and squeaks in your voice will take a few months to disappear.

As you body starts producing whole lot of hormones, you will also notice that during puberty your perspiration increases and has an odor. In addition, your skin will become oil due to excess oil production and this may lead to an outbreak of pimples or acne.
