A Cure For Sexual Moral Relativism
When it comes to physical relationships like sex, several acts of it are questioned by religion and Bible for example. Some acts are vehemently opposed even though they are between legitimate couples. There are several morals that come into play as far as sex is concerned. However, what nobody has done until now is question the truth in such morals. |
For most people, morals have their foundation in religion and from the act of God. They consider morals to be the absolute of life. They are never argued because they are considered as the laws of God. Moral questions the act and not the result. So, sex is an act and there is a right thing and a wrong thing to do within the sphere of sexual act. This is the most common and popular belief among conservative people.
However, most people also think that God mediates through the church about what is right and wrong. That is how sexual moral relativism comes into picture. The sad truth is according to science and human togetherness, any act of sex cannot be immoral between couples. People perceive sex according to their levels of pleasure. If all people are expected to perform on a standard set of rules at the most intimate moments of their life, then it is not a natural feeling either. Christianity also says that having sex without being involved in the act is a sin. So, these are two contradictory things and do not sustain each other.
People should have morals and they should act on it through their own reasoning and that is the best cure.
