Current Moral Issues
When we look around us, we see that the society and the world are plagued with several issues. For most of the issues the causes are in morals, values and integrity. There is a widespread terrorism, alcoholism, violence, abuse, ill treatment, dishonesty, lack of familial concept and values and many more. All these problems are caused by individuals sometimes or by the society of like-minded people. |
There are moral issues almost in every single arena of life, like work, children, schools, hospitals, medical industry, finance and the society itself. A human being is subconsciously on their guard all the time, and they are preventing themselves from getting cheated. If there was integrity in the society, then no one really needs to be so guarded.
If people believed in honesty, truthfulness and integrity, then there would be no such issues. However, most of these values in our society are one sided. You may be a very honest and truthful person, for example, but that does not mean you can trust others as there is no guarantee that they are the same. The reason for the lack of trust is issues like cheating and dishonesty again. The reason is the cause and the cause is the reason. It is a vicious cycle and something that is very hard to fight back. Terrorism and other issues can be fought and perhaps controlled.
However, in order to stop cheating and dishonesty from occurring future and completely eradicating them from the society, we have to make sure our future generations have values and ethics that act like vaccinations and make them immune to feelings like dishonesty and cheating.
