How To Teach Moral ?

If you have small children at home, then one of the biggest things you worry about is teaching them morals. We want our children to be good in life, and also grow up to be respectable human beings. This can be achieved only by teaching them the morals so that they can live and fit into the society.

All morals are good, and among them there are some important ones that we all should have. These include honesty, truthfulness, integrity and perseverance. These qualities are good for children. Morals also help them achieve their goals in life.

For children, parents are their best teachers. Children always imitate their parents and cannot differentiate if they are doing good or bad. All they know is to imitate. So, in order to teach them morals, you need to set an example. It is normal for parents to lie for silly things because they do not want to give something to their child or they may break a promise because they did not have the time. However, what you do not think is that by breaking a promise, you are teaching the child not to value commitments. By lying to them, you are teaching them to lie. You cannot teach them what you do not practice. Also, when you follow some rule, make it clear to them by talking and teaching why you did such a thing and what the benefits of it are. At a young age children do not understand big words like morals and ethics, they just know what is good or bad.
