Codependency In Relationships
Codependency is defined as the kind of connection where a person get involves into a relationship whether they want to, or they do not want to, or think to involve into, thinking for their own welfare. Indeed, codependency is not a psychological problem or any mental disorder, it is chosen by the person itself for betterment of their own lives. People who help those who they love without any special interest have a very rewarding and healthy relationship. It is occasionally confusing at times to differentiate between codependency and kindness. |
People try to control emotions, reactions and fear at many stages. There are various categories of people and many of them try to control through pleasing people, listening to other people, become a chameleon and dress in masks to control. Some of the people act as if they do not need other people for anything even to protect themselves. Some of the people live a life which is reaction to childhood wounds. The ability to make clear and cognizant choices becomes lower than others. Some people because of childhood problems do not try to involve themselves in any relationship or choose an obnoxious relationship.
The classic codependent and classic counter-dependent actions are disease or condition that can be caused by codependency. The person may adopt the ego of behavioral systems in childhood. This symptoms can be seen only when the person in childhood have got hurt because of a threat to survival or due to any other reason may have developed defenses to protect themselves. The classic counter-dependent and the classic codependent are models that make the person dysfunctional and out of stability. The people in codependency always avoid the need of other people and react to other people making themselves victims of this. People should always be themselves, what they are and should not react to other people’s reaction.
